COMPROMISO DE HORAS DE SERVICIO FAMILIAR
The Gators continued success relies heavily upon the volunteer efforts of the families of all swimmers. The team does not have paid administrative staff and each family on the Competitive Team is asked to contribute their time and talents to the work of the team.
All Competitive Team families are required to serve a minimum of 12 hours/year on team projects and events. Please note: Service hour obligations are not pro-rated for any time that a swimmer is on a voluntary leave of absence or if the swimmer quits the team before the end of the season.
Cronometraje en competiciones de la Zona 2: Los miembros de la familia deben estar disponibles para ocupar un mínimo de un turno de cronometraje o de arbitraje en cada competición de natación de la Zona 2 para la que se registren sus atletas.
También se pueden ganar horas trabajando en nuestros eventos anuales de equipo más importantes, la recaudación de fondos Freeze-a-Gator (mediados de invierno) y el campeonato de natación de la ciudad de dos días (agosto), y ayudando con otros eventos y proyectos que el equipo coordenadas (ejemplo: asistentes del día de la fotografía, coordinador del desfile del 4 de julio, acompañantes de viaje, etc.).
We also welcome families to serve in other capacities where they see additional needs. If you have ideas for projects that could benefit the team, or if you see ways that you might help us improve existing procedures or events, we would love for your help! Please contact a parent board member to discuss your ideas in more detail.
Las oportunidades de voluntariado se publican en el sitio web de ALGA y se anuncian a través de mensajes de correo electrónico al equipo. Todo el seguimiento de las horas de servicio familiar, desde el registro hasta la confirmación de las horas trabajadas, se coordina a través del sitio web del equipo. Se recomienda a las familias que revisen periódicamente su cuenta de Horas de servicio para asegurarse de que todo su tiempo de voluntariado haya sido acreditado adecuadamente.
If the twelve-hour obligation is not met by the end of the swim season (August 1) or when the swimmer quits the team (if earlier than the end of the season), the family’s account will be charged $50/hour (maximum $600) for any unfulfilled volunteer hours. The charge is payable whether or not the swimmer intends to return to the team for the next season.
Penalidad por NO PRESENTARSE: si te inscribes en un turno voluntario de cualquier tipo y no te presentas, se te cobrará $100 por cada turno no completado. Esta es una penalización y no cuenta como parte de su requisito de voluntariado. Si cancela 5 días o menos antes del evento, se le pedirá que busque un reemplazo o se le considerará "no presentado".
